Good news on the Donald Trump watch we have here on the website as our favorite POTUS himself is not going to have to worry about The Manhattan district attorney as they announced that they’re not planning to charge Trump Organization Chief Operating Officer Matthew Calamari in a fraud case in which the former U.S. president’s firm and its chief financial officer have been charged, Calamari’s lawyer said.
“Mr. Calamari is pleased that the District Attorney’s office has indicated that it has no present intention to bring charges against him. That is the fair and appropriate decision. He has committed no crimes and led an exemplary life”, Calamari’s lawyer Nicholas Gravante said in an emailed statement on Tuesday.
The office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance declined to comment but an indictment unsealed in July charged the Trump Organization and its CFO Allen Weisselberg with tax fraud arising from a probe into Trump’s business and its practices. That indictment said the company provided perks and benefits such as rent-free apartments and leased cars to Weisselberg and other officials without proper reporting on tax returns. Both Weisselberg and the company pleaded not guilty. Trump himself has not been charged. Earlier this month, a source told Reuters that the Manhattan district attorney had convened another grand jury to weigh possible new charges in a case involving the Trump Organization. The second grand jury was expected to examine how the company valued its assets.
The criminal case stemmed from a probe by Vance in collaboration with New York State Attorney General Letitia James. Trump has called the charges politically motivated. Which clearly they are as they’re still on this witch hunt trying to smear his name as much as possible even on some silly nonsense like this.. But Trump’s company operates hotels, golf courses, and resorts around the world. Before entering the White House in January 2017, Trump put it into a trust overseen by his adult sons Donald Jr. and Eric, as well as Weisselberg. Calamari’s son, Matthew Calamari Jr., testified before a grand jury in September and has immunity from possible prosecution, a source told Reuters earlier in November.
“Trump Corporation personnel, including Weisselberg, arranged for tuition expenses for Weisselberg’s family members to be paid by personal checks drawn on the account of and signed by Donald J. Trump, and later drawn on the account of the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust,” prosecutors alleged in the indictment.
Trump’s lawyer Ronald Fischetti told Insider the mention had no bearing on the former president’s personal legal exposure in the district attorney’s investigation. He said Trump paid the tuition bills personally, rather than through corporate accounts, and took “no deductions” on them.
“All that money paid for [Weisselberg’s] grandson’s tuition to the same school that Donald Trump’s son Barron goes to was paid by Donald Trump personally, never from the company,” Fischetti said. “No checks ever went from the company to pay for that tuition.”
Fischetti said Trump made the tuition payments because Weisselberg’s son, Barry, was undergoing an acrimonious split from his wife, Jennifer Weisselberg. Trump wanted to make sure the grandchildren of a “trusted employee” could remain at their school, Fischetti said. “Donald Trump, out of his generosity, paid for it personally,” Fischetti said. “No deductions, no nothing.” Weisselberg and attorneys for the Trump Organization pleaded not guilty to a 15-count indictment, where prosecutors described a wide-ranging tax scheme in which they accused Weisselberg of dodging taxes on $1.7 million of his income, much of which they said came in the form of perks like tuition payments, apartments, and cars.
Prosecutors said more than $359,000 of that untaxed compensation came in the form of tuition payments from 2012 to 2017. They alleged the tuition payments were categorized as compensation in the Trump Organization’s internal records but not on Weisselberg’s personal tax forms. Fischetti said that Trump paying the tuition out of his own pocket, rather than corporate coffers, indicated Trump had already paid all the appropriate taxes on his end.
“It’s not taxable for that person,” Fischetti said. “And it’s not a deduction for the person who’s giving it to them.”
Fischetti told Insider he didn’t expect Trump to be among the indicted. He said the tax savings prosecutors describe would amount to “pennies” for the former president. “This guy’s a billionaire. What’s he going to get out of this?” he said, adding: “It’s fucking pennies! It’s ridiculous. They have nothing on the president. Absolutely nothing.“
Fischetti said he met with prosecutors in June and they’d brought no evidence that Trump had any personal knowledge of or involvement in the alleged tax scheme.
“They have said nothing about the president knowing about this,” Fischetti said. “They have no tape recordings, they have no email, they have no text. They have no documents. They have nothing!”
Attorneys for other witnesses who’ve testified before the grand jury said none of the clients had anything to say about Trump’s personal involvement, according to Fischetti. He said prosecutors’ only hope of indicting Trump would be to “coerce” people to tell the grand jury they acted at Trump’s direction.
“The only thing they could possibly have are witnesses that would go into the grand jury and say, ‘Yes, I got a free car and I got a free apartment, and he deducted it from my salary or would give it to me as a bonus so the company made money,'” Fischetti told Insider. “He needs witnesses! He has none! Zero!”
A representative for the Manhattan district attorney’s office declined to comment for this story and why is that? Probably because once again they have spent our tax paid money investigating TRUMP and they get nothing. So they’re now trying to some how claim he committed a crime because he helped pay for his employees kids tuition?
Prosecutors also were said to have been investigating whether the Trump Organization broke tax laws by keeping two sets of books to secure favorable tax, insurance, and loan rates, as well as whether the company broke campaign finance laws by facilitating hush-money payments to Stormy Daniels in advance of the 2016 election. They found nothing so this is what they’re trying to turn into a big deal? Seriously? This is how low the bar is being set by the left? Well how about let’s talk about Hunter Biden and his Russian stolen laptops? We know that happened Hunter is on video talking to a prostitute in mid crack hit about it. The hypocrisy from the left is on full display once again.
So check this out friends as the man who has a legion of loyals calling themselves “Cuomosexuals” (you know the thing…) Even the current “Sniffler n Shit” Joe Biden, and his VeePee Kamala Harris said was the man whos the “GOLD STANDARD” on how Covid 19 should be handled. You know the guy that all of Hollywood loves, and who people like Terrorist Noah, and Ellen Degenerates of the world called themselves “Cuomosexuals” during last years “Summer of Love 2020” because of how special he was?
Besides the “Chop,” riots, and looting, murders endorsed, loved, and paid for by the radical left which includes those “Cuomosexuals“, as they all should all be known best. Yes their love “Andrew” the big brother of Fredo Cuomo is under a hot mess.
And it looks like either he will have to resign soon, and face the music of his past doings or he will not resign his position as demigod of New York aka Govorner which means his hypocrisy will continue to grow.
As he continues to open himself to further embarrasment at this point who cares right? But the guy who had all of these folks in congress in his pocket since the start of the KungFlu might now be getting some of his own meds too and ironically by those same people who he thought were his friends.
And even his biggest old foe who belongs to his own party like the father of Antifa member Chiara de Blasio, the mayor Bill deBlasio who both showed shocking unity during the impeachments, and “Summer of Love” and “Chop 2020” so now their all turning on him, and by the way iF I left any names out forgive me the left has so many scumbags in congress that some might not make it and of course we know we can’t leave out the Rinos like Liz Chaney, and the gang of 7 with her from the impeachment 2.0. All who are now turning on Andrew.
This is folks is just well comedy gold! More women coming forward to make claims of harrasment against the Gov. and more legal issues coming forward about his mis handling of the sticking of sick covid patients in with elderly folks who died as a result. YES He’s had blood on his hands for a long time, and this is something we have known for since last year. The issue was the media was not allowing this information out because Andrew was said to be their go to guy in case Joe Biden totally fell apart, and wasn’t able to run. This is why they covered, and showered Andrew as the “GOLD STANDARD” but with Trump out of office, and not on the news much the ratings has gone way down in all news outlets, and with Biden hiding in his basemenet or in a Hollywood studio prepping for another scripted fake speech. Andrew is feeling the burn! Cause this folks is what happens when the left is without someone to feed from they find new pray, and sometimes it’s even one of their own. And so Andrw Cuomo you’re next bro!
But back to the story because I remember Andrew saying that Trump wasn’t going to be able to ever walk back into New York without an Army! Remember that guys?
Donald Trump is in New York City this week to check in on his family’s real estate business, according to a new report and he didn’t need an Army to come back to New York Andrew infact the former president has shown interest in working more with the Trump Organization, which is a major reason for his New York City trip, according to the New York Daily News, citing a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Trump kept his ownership position in his real estate firm throughout his time in office, but passed off day-to-day responsibilities to his sons, Eric and Don Jr. Trump is expected to stay in Trump Tower during his visit. He is not expected to meet with any prosecutors while in New York, where he faces an investigation into his businesses by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance and Attorney General Letitia James.
Vance, who is investigating whether Trump inflated the value of real estate assets, is seeking to meet in person with Michael Cohen, the president’s former personal lawyer, according to the Daily News, citing a source familiar with the probe.
Vance is also seeking to get more information out of Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization’s chief financial officer for decades. Vance is said to be seeking to ask questions about Weisselberg’s adult sons.
Now as the Trumpster is in town taking care of family affairs back to Cuomo cause on Monday, Republican legislators in the New York State Assembly started drafting a resolution intended to begin impeachment proceedings against Governor Andrew Cuomo.
According to Syracuse.com, Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay said he and his fellow Republicans cannot make the Democratic-majority Assembly address the measure. On Sunday, State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, a Democrat, publicly called for Cuomo’s resignation.
Cuomo said on Sunday that he would not resign, even as he faces increasing backlash for allegedly sexually harassing multiple female aides and manipulating COVID-19 data to mislead the public about how many people died in nursing homes.
“If they [state Democrats] really believe in resignation, why not start impeachment?” Barclay told reporters on Monday. Allegations began mounting in late February when Cuomo’s former aide, Lindsey Boylan, detailed her alleged encounters with the governor in a Medium blog post. She wrote that Cuomo, 63, “abused his power” to sexually harass her and other women in the workplace.
Boylan also recounted an instance in which Cuomo allegedly suggested they play strip poker aboard a private plane in October 2017.
Boylan, who reportedly first encountered Cuomo in January 2016, alleged he would touch her lower back, legs, and arms. Boylan wrote that she resigned in September 2018 because Cuomo’s top aides became hostile towards her for “speaking up for myself.” She said her resignation was also influenced by an instance in which Cuomo kissed her on the lips at his New York City office.
Since Boylan’s blog post was published, three more former aides have come forward and accused Cuomo of sexual harassment.
Cuomo has denied inappropriately touching anyone but apologized for behaving in a manner that made his female colleagues uncomfortable. His camp has not yet commented on Republican lawmakers’ plan to begin the impeachment process.
